Saturday Beach Day!

The weather is like summer right now, so we decided to try a beach day!  We haven't been down to the beach as a family much, but now that Vila is walking, we decided to give it a go on this glorious Saturday.  After our morning classes and nap, off we went....along with a cooler of snacks, a bag of toys, a bag of towels and extra clothes, and a sun umbrella!!!  That's a lot of stuff!   To start, it didn't go so well as we inadvertently set up on the "off leash" part of the beach.  With dogs jumping everywhere, we quickly realized we would have to move!!!  So after another re-set of all our gear, we settled in.   I went for a walk with Mummy along the boardwalk - and went running along to see some kites!!!  Meanwhile, back at our hard-fought beach blanket set-up, Vila was playing in teh sand. and seemed quite amused with herself.  Funny Vila! 

When Mummy and I got back tothe blanket, I had a quiet moment with Daddy looking out at the water and getting my feet wet.  Ahh, sometimes it's these moments of bliss that make up for the hours-long struggle to get down to the beach for a half-hour of fun, (ha, as per what Mummy said!).

The beach ended up being great in the end, so when we get more used to going and where to set up, I think it will be a fave place for us as we grow up.....we live in such an awesome part of town that we can come all the time.  Yay for beach days!  Hope you all had a fabulous sunny Saturday too!  Love Audrey and Violet xoxo
