The Many Faces of Vila!

My sis Violet certainly has an expressive face and knows how to use it to get what she wants! She's also pretty darn cute about it too. Visit to Golly Manor!

My Aunt Holly moved in with Uncle Guy....thus, we visited their "Golly Manor" home today! It was such a nice house, with lots of charm and personality and the best part - a veggie garden!!!! Violet and I had fun checking out the tomatoes, and picking them off the vine with Uncle Guy and Nanny. Plus Nanny and I did some gardening in the front yard. Mummy liked hanging in the backyard best, and was eager for some hugs! We stayed for dinner, and had the best homemade pizza, with fresh tomatoes and basil.....Mummy took a pic of our yummy feast. Uncle Guy put on some records (have you heard of those? they practically don't exist anymore!) with some great music like MoTown, Ella Fitzgerald and the Beatles....it was a really nice dinner, with some ups and downs to feed me and Violet, as usual of course! Plus Aunt Holly and Uncle Guy made us popsicles for dessert - avocado and blueberry!!! Mmmm. After our veggie garden exploits, dinner, and running around their cozy home (including seeing their kitty Martha Doodle), it was time to go home. We had such a good time though, we're looking forward to going back again soon. Thanks for a great visit Golly Manor! Smiley with Grandpa!

Violet's daycare was closed this week, so Grandma and Grandpa came for a few days to take care of her. And the bonus is I got to hang out with them all week too when I got home from Bowmore! We had lots of fun playing together, as always :-) We didn't get a lot of pics - busy week with Mummy and Daddy working still.....but I did get a nice photo with Grandpa just before they left. We like to smile together - say cheese Grandpa! Thanks for such a great time this week - see you and Grandma again soon.....lots of hugs and kisses, Audrey & Violet xoxo

Splash Pad!

It was another warm weekend, so we put on our swim suits and went to the Bowmore Splash Pad (it's the little pool right next to my new school). Check us out in our suits, and splashing around with Daddy. It's only a 5 minute walk from our house, so easy to visit when we want to have some water fun in the sun. And did I mention, we have a new walkway at our house too? It was fun to run along it on the way out to our water play day......oh la la, it's beautiful. Happy 18 Months DJ Violet!

Today is Violet's 18 month birthday! She is ALMOST walking, and she is really TALKING a lot lately too. She can say "all done", "bye bye Mummy (or Daddy)", "alright", "wheee", "up", "yes", "no", and many other things.....she is a really good mimic now! As for walking....she loves to walk around holding one hand, and she can stand on her own quite well. She especially loves standing up on the couch next the computer, dancing along to the music. She is quite the DJ, she loves to bang on the computer keyboard - it's one of her most favourite pasttimes over the last month. We're hoping that NEXT month, we may be able to say she's taken a few steps on her own....we'll see Vila, keep trying! We love you, our big baby! xoxoxo Audrey, Mummy & Daddy

First Day at Bowmore!

Today (Tuesday August 2nd), I started my first day at preschool at Bowmore! It's a school right around the corner from my house. I was very excited to start my first day at big-girl school. Here I am in my new outfit, new hat, and holding my new water bottle, getting ready to leave with Mummy. And since I'm at a new school, it meant it was my last day at Erin's house.....here I am with her, and Britney, on my last day. We've had a great couple of years Erin, thanks for taking such good care of me! Keep taking good care of Vila until she can join me at Bowmore! What a milestone day for me - I'm becoming such a big girl! xoxo Audrey
