Grandpa & His Grandkids
Is there anything more to say other than we LOVE this picture? And we LOVE our Grandpa! xoxox Audrey, Violet and Jackson
Hello Chicago!
This weekend we went to Chicago (for Chachu Rishi & Reva's wedding - more on that later!) and of course, to hang out and meet some of our family!! One of the best things was that all of us cousins got to hang out together - that's me, Vila, Jackson and, for the first-time ever, we met Kabir (aka Cubby Bear!) We had lots of fun playing together and our parents managed to wrangle us together for a couch photo.
We were staying at Gran-Chachu Rab and Gran Chachu Pimmi's house - it was lovely! So bright and airy, with plenty of place for us all and lots of time to spend with them - really great since we don't get to be together often. We loved getting up and spending every moment together with everyone. The breakfast bar was a great place to start - check us out!
After breakfast, it was playtime! We did peek-a-boo with Jackson and Chachi Stephanie......ha, Jackson & Chachi, you're too funny! And Vila was really loving building block towers.
Then it was outside to a great big yard, and a deck with an amazing bench to run across - careful sneaky-eyed Vila (see Grandpa hanging out back there to make sure you're not running right off the edge?!)
When we were done with the bench, we ran down to the grass and kicked around the ball.....I found out I actually might really enjoy soccer, look at me go kicking that ball!!
What a fantastic time we're having so far and we haven't even gone to the main event - the wedding - coming soon! Family in Chicago - we love you and thanks for having us!!! xoxoxox Audrey & Violet

Season Opener Street Party!
Did I mention that we live in the BEST neighbourhood in the city? We have so many friends, and lots of good times together. This weekend, Mummy and Daddy and our neighbours organized a "summer season opener" street party (yes, that means there will be a season closer in September!) They grouped together and bought a inflatable slide, groceries, and organized the infamous ladder ball tourmament (you'll see Daddy in action in the photos below, and Vila and I in the cheering section)! And there was even face painting (well, arm-painting for Vila...she liked her "ladybugs who creep along" (song from music class)). Burgers, dogs, chips, juice and the Leake's signature mommy/daddy frozen daquari's made it a day to remember (or forget, depending on how many daquari's you had, ha ha......adults-only joke!) Check out the fun pics of us enjoying the party - it really was a smash hit day.

Happy Father's Day King Daddy!
Today was officially Father's Day! To celebrate our Daddy, we let him sleep in - yay for Daddy, boo for Mummy (ha ha!) Then it was time to burst into his room and give him his present. As King of our Kingdom, I had made him a crown at school. Daddy loved it, it seemed to be a perfect fit.
Mummy gave him a new bag from her trip to Las Vegas and a new shirt - great for Daddy's work days. Once he finally dragged himself downstairs, we had a pretty regular Sunday - and Daddy had a nice fatherly trip to Home Depot. But for dinner that night, Mummy made Daddy an extra special Father's Day dessert.....chocolate chip banana bread. YUMMY! We all enjoyed it - check out me and Vila chowing down (Violet is doing her silly super smile face of course!)
To finish our Father's Day blog post, Vila and I just want to say what an amazing Daddy we have - he loves us so much, is silly with us, dances with us, answers our questions, reads us stories, makes up stories (Sammy Squirrel), gives us "rocket ships" up the stairs, tickles us to "armpits", and cuddle and kisses us. We love you so much Daddy! Here's a pic of you and your girls on Father's Day 2012 ---- xoxoxo love you lots and always, your girlies, Audrey and Violet xoxoxo

Ribfest 2012 - Delicious Fun Times!
A hot sunny day - perfect to hit RibFest and celebrate Father's Day one day early with Nanny and Gramps. Gramps is my Mummy's daddy after all! And bonus, we had our Aunt Holly to come too (Gramps is her daddy too!) We had a great time eating pulled pork, ribs, coleslaw, corn on the cob, and of course, giant popsicles! Check out all our fun pics below. A perfect way to celebrate Father's Day ---- saucy yummy bbq messy food!
Plus Vila and I even walked over the the fair and had a ride on the "whirl-a-berries" with Mummy and Aunt Holly.
It was a lip-smacking fun day at Ribfest - here's the many more sunny rib-eating days with our family in our future! Love our family picnics together - and special love and hugs to our Gramps (and our Grandpa, in Ottawa) as our early celebration of Father's Day. You're both the best! Love and kisses xoxoxo Audrey and Violet

Indian Princesses
Vila and I have to try on our dresses for our Uncle Rishi's wedding in Chicago soon - we have some really pretty sparkly lenghas (thanks Gran-Massi and Grandma!) I think we'll be ready in style for the big celebration! Vila is all set with orange (although she does find it a little scratchy, she may end up nunga by the end of the night, hee hee). Now for me...hmmmm yellow or green? Oh decisions of a fashionista! xoxoxo Audrey and Violet

Sisterly Love
Me and Vila have a lot of fun together - sisterly love (and teasing too at times, let's be honest!) runs deep! This past weekend, I finally got my hair cut. Vila was right there with me, and while I gave myself two thumbs up, Vila gave me 1 finger up....thanks Viley, I'll take it! I know what you meant ; )
The next day we had fun visiting Indigo with our friends Emma and Max (and their Mummy Irene). Vila and I loved the teacup to sit in - reminded us of Disney, except it didn't spin. Ah well, we brought in lots of books, and enjoyed running all over together too (it was a rainy day, so fun to be indoors and looking at all the books and toys there)
Later that day, Vila and I got on our rain boots and jackets and went out for some playtime. Vila still is a little hesitant on the hilly neighbours lawn, so I gave her a helping hand to toddle down. You can do it Vila!
Ah, sisterly love - you can see it well in all these pictures, can't you? Love you Vila and I know you love me too, you silly monkey! xoxox Audrey and Violet
