Yesterday was Violet's 10-month birthday! Another big month for Violet - and the highlight is that over the last week, she is actually able to stand! She doesn't like to do it when she has no shoes on.....we only seem to be able to get her to do it when she's wearing my old red high-top boots (see above). Plus, we usually have to put something musical in front of her on the couch to get her motivated to stay standing. Lately, she seems to like my fridge barnyard! Other things that are new this past month for Violet:
- She does this really funny thing where she shakes her head back and forth, smiling, when she's lying on her back on the change pad. Mummy is trying to get a video of that, it's so funny!
- Violet is eating more adult foods - she has cheese and crackers for lunch a lot, she ate some of our green beans at dinner tonight, and Mummy is usually trying to give her a piece of what we're eating!
- Violet also likes to play "banging" with me.....I bang my hand on the table, and Vila joins in by banging on her high chair tray, usually giggling at me too!
- Lastly, Violet is kind of turning around and leaning when she sits up...almost like she wants to get into crawling mode! She still just sits, but she is twisting, so that's good!
Here's some pics from Violet's last week, showing off her 10-month old style! Today, as a special treat, Mummy took Violet to the AGO to visit Aunt Holly, and check out the Majarahah Exhibit and new Frank Gehry designed addition - here they are in the beautiful Gehry section.
And here is Violet with Mummy under our mistletoe making funny faces, and then with Mummy and her friend Mel and baby Dylan who came over for a play date last weekend. Good times Violet!
