Here we are with Mummy walking down one of the main streets, and stopping to listen to a live band outside a restaurant - ahhh, outside music, patios and food, a perfect afternoon could be spent here!
We walked around looking at some of the bigger resort homes too - who knows, we might rent one out on another trip! And beside one area, we found a mermaid! Of course, Violet and I had to stop and pose with her.
We heard that the beach at the end of one road was the perfect place to watch the sunset on the island. So off we went, and guess who was waiting at the beach entrance? Santa!!!
As we waited for the sun to set, we took some pictures of the beautiful beach. It was truly a spectacular place to hang out.
And of course, Mummy took some sun-lit photos of all of us. The lighting was just too pretty! Look at little Vila's "plasticine" face at the end - she is so funny!
Did you know, there's a British pub right there (the Muddy Duck) with rows of wooden chairs to sit on with your drink to watch the sunset (Gramps would have loved it!)? We'll do that next time, but for now, we had other dinner plans in mind so off we went!
Before we got to our restaurant, we stopped at fun garden and found a giant froggy and a giant chair! Lots of fun things in this town for us to discover it seems!
Then it was off to BUBBLES, a famous little restaurant for families. There's all sort of things inside and out to look at - a Christmas area, a circus clown, a "tunnel of love" photo area that looks like a boat, and an aquarium room where there are fish swimming right beside your table! Here we are, posing outside.
It was a good dinner and then off to our resort back on Sanibel - but here's one more photo of the perfect sunset to send you off on this post. Captiva, you were amazing and we hope to see you again! What a lovely little island xoxo Audrey and Violet
