My Bedtime Routine

This afternoon, I had some playtime on my playmat in my sleeper (usually I'm in my day clothes, but I had a little accident this afternoon!) And it was close to bedtime, so Mummy got a jumpstart on my bedtime routine! What is my bedtime routine you ask??? Well, here's what we do each day!

As I start to get sleepy at night, my Mummy and Daddy have a routine to settle me into lullaby land! First, they give me a nice warm bath where they sing "Old McAudrey Had a Farm" and Daddy washes me while Mummy does my shampoo. Then, Daddy picks me up and dries me off and Mummy puts nice soft skin cream on me. Then I eat - Daddy usually gives me my bottle, with the lights dimmed and my Coldplay Lullaby CD is playing. It's very soothing! I even hold Daddy's hands when he is feeding me! Sometimes I try to hold the bottle too, but it's still a little big for me so I'm so glad that Daddy helps me. Afterwards, Daddy zips me up into my sleeping bag, sings me "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and then lays me down to sleep with my white noise machine on - it helps me to fall asleep with that nice whirring sound!

Ahh, I feel so cosy, loved and warm when I go to bed in my crib - nightie night world! Love Audrey xoxo
