Yesterday was Mummy's fave day of the year - Oscar Day!! And that meant we had quite a few celebrations....starting with a visit from our friends Emma and Max! They came over for Oscar Day brunch, complete with mimosas, egg/bacon casserole and mmmmm cinnamon buns!
The food seemed to be a real crowd-pleaser for the adults, but us kids enjoyed playing together the best. Here's Max and Vila, playing at the kitchen, and Max with Vila's sunglasses and lightstick!
After brunch, it ws rest time and then prep for our Oscar night! Mummy got the ballots ready to mark, and we had our Oscar dinner.....grilled cheese, yay! And because it was Oscar Day, we got special cookies too - yummy white cake frosted cookies. Aunt Holly came over too to hang out for a bit before we went to bed, fun!! All us girls watched the red carpet together - there were so many pretty dresses, I love them all! Then Daddy put us to bed while Aunty Holly and Mummy kept watch on the Oscar fashions. After our bed time, we heard they had an adult-dinner......order in thai food (me and Vila don't like that spicy food anyways!) and some more champagne to cap the night.
What a great day for Oscars and for us - see you again next year! PS Mummy got 18/24 categories right....not bad Mummy, Ms Oscar expert! xoxo Audrey and Violet
