Easter Egg Hunting!

After all the fun of Good Friday and our Easter egg decorating, and our Saturday family feast, it ws Easter Sunday!  Time for our egg hunting.  We started the day hunting for eggs in our living room.
Once we were done with our front room, we also had to find the eggs in the back room!  The Easter bunny sure was busy hiding eggs all over our house!

We managed to find all the eggs and fill our little Easter baskets.  Violet was looking particularly sweet in her Easter yellow, such a cutie-pie little sister!

And I was also wearing a beautiful coloured dress and accessories - quite the little adorable fashionista myself! Here I am showing off the BIG eggs that the Easter bunny left for Vila and I - there were some great toys inside!
After our at-home egg hunt, Mummy told us that the Easter bunny had also visited our local park!  Yippee - more eggs to find.  We couldn't wait to get dressed and run out to join the neighbourhood kids on the hunt for more goodies!

Once we got there, we lined up with about 40 other kids to get into our little playround where there were 800 eggs strewn about - my oh my!  Little kids got to go first, so Vila and I were off and gathering as soon as we could!

We had to be careful not to be run over by the big kids - some of them had bags of 100 or more eggs (a little much in Mummy's opinion!)  Hey look, I found one under the bridge!
Violet and I ended up with about 10 each - perfect.  Plus Mummy and Daddy got a chance to have some Timmy's coffee and timbits while we hunted - that Easter bunny sure knows how to plan for kiddies and parents!  After all that running around, Vila and Grandpa decided it was time for a rest.

And then since we were at the park, why not have a slide or two?  Grandma was more than eager to catch us as we came down!

We trudged back home after our fun, and since it was so sunny and nice out, we got out our porch chairs and shared some chocolate on the porch for brekkie - all of this before 1030am, so it was brunch-time after all!
What a fun Easter Sunday morning.  Hope you all had a great Easter Sunday too and the bunny was good to you!  Lots of love - Audrey and Violet xoxo
