This past Sunday was one of the best days of the year for my Mummy! It was Oscar Day when all the movies and stars are celebrated! Mummy had seen most of the movies this year too - The Fighter, Black Swan, The King's Speech, Rabbit Hole, The Kids Are All Right, True Grit, Inception, and The Social Network! What a great year of movies and The King's Speech won the big award - woo hoo! Seems kind of fitting with a royal wedding coming up soon too (what a day that will be in April!) As Mummy is so serious about the Oscars, we don't have any big parties (we have to listen to the awards!), but we celebrate in our own ways at home. We had Oscar-day cupcakes (I requested pink and yellow) - see them above? And Mummy and Daddy had an Oscar ballot contest (Mummy won breakfast in bed, 18/24 vs Daddy's 11/24!) After we went to bed and the show started, Mummy and Daddy broke out the champagne and the baked brie with fig jam - mmmmm! And then of course, the fashion critiques on the red carpet - Mummy had an ongoing Facebook status and of course, calls with Sandra, Auntie Holly and Nanny. Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis and Cate Blanchett were all faves of the fashion!
Another great Oscar night and now 364 until the next one! Many more movies to watch before then! Love Audrey & Violet xoxo
