Trimming The Tree & Baking The Gingerbread!

It was a fully Christmas-time type of weekend!  After visiting Santa yesterday, we put up our tree today.  What fun - Vila and I really did a good job on hanging the ornaments.  Violet only tried to remove them a few times, ha!   Silly Vila - she's still a baby after all!  Check out our video of our work-in-progress, I know how to hang ornaments by myself.  Violet enjoyed the shiny balls a lot too.
No tree is finished of course without the star on top.  Since Vila seemed pre-occupied with all the ornaments on the BOTTOM of the tree, I got to put the star on the top....with a little help from Daddy, my booster!
Check out how good our tree looked - Vila and I both posed with the finished tree in our own special outfits too!  I had my "Mrs Claus" hat & braids, and Vila had on her candy-cane stripes (she's not one for hats, as you may know if you try to get her dressed for daycare in the morning!)

After all that effort, we had to have some treats to re-energize!  Mummy broke out the gingerbread, and we got to baking.  Yummmmmm - look at them all!!  We had gingerbread men, gingerbread stars, and gingerbread trees.  Violet and I were only too happy to be taste testers.
What a Christmas-filled day we had!  Now we are truly ready for Santa to arrive!!!  We'll leave you some cookies Santa, don't worry!  Although we might have to make a second batch before you get here....cookies are very popular with me and my sis!  Love and Christmas-season joy to you all, Audrey & Violet xoxo
