Yesterday was the first official day of spring - and the weather has been here to prove it! It's been above 20 degrees for the last few days ---- woo hoo, t-shirt weather! The robins are out, and we are loving not having to bundle up. Mummy got out our new spring jackets last week - check us out on the porch, with Vila and her "big smile" of course.
And on the weekend, it was so nice and warm that all our neighbours were out on their front yards too. So this led to our first impromptu game of "ladderball"!! A really fun game where you throw roped balls at rungs to score points. The adults seemed to really enjoy that, and we kids chased each other around!! I wore my "regal" dress outside too - did you know I wear a princess dress most days as soon as I get up in the morning, and put it on again as soon as I get home at night??!
Plus we had some snacks - we got to sit on the lawn chairs that our neighbour Stacey had brought out. Violet kept putting her boots up to show off - she loves her new candy boots!!!
Finally, today was such a nice day that after our dinnertime, Mummy took Vila and I to the park for a quick playtime (Daddy, we missed you! Enjoy your biz trip tonight!) Then we heard some tinkling bells and guess what?! The ice cream truck showed up - yay!!! We never got to it in time last year, so this was our first ice cream truck experience! Mummy bought us a soft serve with sprinkles which we shared. And lots of other kids from my class were there too - who knew that most of them live on the street just a couple over from ours, right near the playground?! What a fun neighbourhood we have.
